        NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State University and Central Louisiana Community Technical College – Natchitoches Campus will host an open house for individuals interested in the Advanced Manufacturing Technician program offered through a partnership between the two schools.

        Individuals who complete in the AMT program will earn an associate of science degree in engineering technology with a concentration in advanced manufacturing from Northwestern State and Advanced Manufacturing Technician certification from CLTCC. Students earn a minimum of $12 per hour working up to 24 hours per week in a partnering manufacturing facility in addition to hours spent in the classroom.

        The open house will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, March 14 at Central Louisiana Technical Community College, 6587 Hwy. 1 Bypass in Natchitoches. To RSVP for the open house, visit https://AMTopenhouse.eventbrite.com/?aff=nsu

        The program is supported by Natchitoches Community Alliance. Some of the partnering manufacturers include Alliance Compressors, AFCO Industries, Boise Cascade, Pilgrim’s, Stella-Jones and RoyOMartin.
